Day 62: At the airport, pencil in hand

Today I had to fly back from Biarritz and, I can tell you, this is a pretty small, regional airport with not a lot going on. Once I'd made my way air-side there was very little to do and not all that many chairs; so I say on the floor and looked for something interesting to draw. Unsurprisingly, given how planes are always captivating for small boys, I found myself gazing at this view:

Now, obviously, my restricted view was rather annoying but I couldn't do much about it from the terminal building. Luckily, a little later, another plane landed (my one in fact) and positioned itself much more acceptably:

So I blended both airliners together to produce this composite image of a small-ish plane which looks rather like it's in-flight (given how I didn't have time to add in pesky details like wheels and landing gear):

Certainly it's not my best drawing but the proportions are accurate and all of the parts are in the right place relative to each other; so it actually looks like something that's airworthy! That's definitely a result and I'm happy to report that my plane proved equally capable and even managed to reach its destination early; very pleasing.
